Hours: Monday-Friday 8a-4p
Overview: As an Electrical Service Pro, you will work directly with customers to provide high-quality, efficient electrical solutions for their projects. Your role effectively involves communication with customers to understand their concerns, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safe, code-compliant solutions. You will educate customers on their electrical problems and solutions while also mentoring and guiding apprentices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot electrical issues, providing efficient and effective solutions, while offering detailed explanations of options and recommendations.
· Identify and resolve hazards or issues that are not up to code.
· Provide flat-rate pricing options for customers.
· Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and other equipment to ensure safety, functionality, and code compliance.
· Measure, cut, and bend conduit as part of the electrical installations and repairs.
· Procure necessary materials to complete the service or job at hand.
· Maintain a clean work area throughout the project and ensure the work area is cleaned up upon completion.
· Document and complete all required paperwork promptly upon completion of work or when an estimate is requested.
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional behavior and a positive attitude.
· Identify additional service opportunities related to customers’ needs.
· Maintain clear communication with the office, customers, and team members.
· Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols, including safe operation of company vehicles.
· Provide training and mentorship to apprentices.
· Perform additional tasks as required to meet the needs of the business and team.
Required Experience and Education:
· Journeyman’s License
· High School Diploma or GED
· Knowledge of current electrical codes for the applicable region
· Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
· Ability to pass a background check and drug test
· Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Proficiency in working with hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, screwdrivers, tests, etc.)
· Ability to safely operate power tools
· Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds, squat, bend, and climb ladders
· Ability to travel daily within the DMV area
· Strong communication skills, both with customers and team members
· Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
· Ability to think creatively and outside the box to resolve challenges
