Job Full Description
We are seeking an Insurance Verification Clerk for a local fast-paced multi-Physician Medical Office in Sarasota. The Insurance Verification Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely verification of insurance coverage for patients scheduled for neurosurgical procedures.
This position requires a strong understanding of insurance processes, particularly with Medicare, commercial carriers, auto claims and Specialty Medicine, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
The Insurance Verification Clerk will collaborate closely with the patient, billing department, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to confirm patient coverage and facilitate a smooth process.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay rate: $18-$21/Hour

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
· Prior experience in insurance verification, preferably in a medical office or hospital setting.
· Familiarity with Medicare policies and procedures and using insurance codes within a specialty medical practice.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
