Job Full Description
We are partnered with an international supermarket now hiring a Store Manager to join their team! The objective of the store manager is to manage all store operations and all operational personnel, maximize sales and control expenses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate and delegate job responsibilities and performance expectations to store personnel to ensure desired results.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results.
- Provide product feedback to the district manager, including making recommendations regarding new items to carry or those that should be discontinued.
- Train and develop store personnel, per the employee training program, to achieve their maximum professional potential.
- Observe and evaluate employees' work performance and provides feedback and coaching as appropriate. Conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Ensure store personnel comply with the company's customer satisfaction guidelines and demonstrate appropriate interactions with customers and co-workers.
- Resolve concerns from store personnel and/or refer such concerns to the district manager as appropriate.
- Prepare, manage and revise weekly schedules.
- Handle customer concerns and ensure an appropriate resolution.
- Maintain proper stock levels through appropriate product ordering and CGO-S parameter maintenance.
- Ensure proper store signage is maintained at all times.
- Achieve store payroll budget, Achieve store total loss budget, Merchandizes product neatly to maximize sales.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old and a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience in a retail environment and prior management experience.
Additional Requirements:
- May be required to handle and sell alcoholic beverages and meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
- Must be willing to work within an hour radius of the store closest to where they live.
- Must be able to work 40-50 hours weekly.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights.
- Ability to operate equipment including electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber and cardboard baler.
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to maintain store standards for cleanliness.
- Ability to perform basic administrative duties such as filing, filling out forms, counting and basic arithmetic equations.
- Ability to give and follow instruction and pay attention to detail.
Schedule: Can range from 40-50 hours weekly. Any hours worked above 40 hours will be paid at the overtime rate of time and a half.
Pay: $28/hour
