Qualifications

  • Loading and unloading scaffolding from truck (warehouse and/or field)
  • Work Experience in the field of Scaffolding – Minimum 8 years
  • 10 Hr. OSHA course completed for scaffolding (1926 Subpart L Scaffolds)
  • Forklift training/certification completed
  • Valid Florida Driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken (grammar)
  • Proficient in Math
  • Comfortable with heights (up to 70 feet)
  • Communication Skills – Able to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Customer Service Skills – Ability to interface with customers and meet their needs
  • Physical capabilities such a maintaining balance, maintain a full range of motion, able to lift heavy objects correctly and repeatedly (up to 70 Lbs
  • without assistance), able to climb and work at elevated levels
  • Ability to drive a truck and trailer with large loads
  • Ability to read construction blueprints and knowledge of construction signs on a job site
  • Understanding of safety procedures in all areas (office, warehouse and field)
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions received
  • Ability to delegate tasks

Responsibilities

  • Scaffolding erector (builder) and sales
  • Effectively meet with customers and provide written estimates of scaffolding projects
  • Follow up of all estimates provided (effectively plan, prioritize and organize work)
  • Manage email and verbal correspondence
  • Manage weekly safety meetings with personnel
  • Properly handle accepted estimates inclusive of the following:
  • Obtain signed written contracts
  • Evaluation of site conditions and installation/overseeing of scaffolding systems in a safe and orderly manner in accordance with OSHA standards
  • Selection of proper size and type of building materials according to project specifications
  • Load, transport and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies to job sites while using proper lift techniques along with safe operation of power tools and equipment
  • Count inventory accurately and quickly upon delivery and/or return
  • Ensure personnel have all resources necessary to perform tasks
  • Ability to motivate others towards achievement of business objectives
  • Climbing and working at elevated heights safely while maintaining balance
  • Able to safely operate or oversee use of construction power tools and construction equipment
