JOB SUMMARY

THIS is a full-service architecture firm, with two offices in SW, Florida, is seeking a Senior Project Architect. This person will lead and manage architectural designs for intermediate- scale projects. The role entails driving the design process from conception to completion, overseeing site inspections to ensure alignment with design intent, using BIM tools for architectural documentation, and serving as the primary liaison with clients. Additionally, the Project Architect will collaborate with internal teams and engineers, produce and review construction documents, support construction administration, and engage in community events to promote the firm’s presence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design Leadership and Architectural Excellence: Lead innovative design efforts that balance aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Technical Coordination and Integration: Manage the integration of building systems using advanced tools like BIM to enhance design precision and project efficiency.
  • Client Engagement and Vision Alignment: Engage with clients to ensure designs reflect their vision and requirements, effectively communicating complex proposals.
  • Project Management and Oversight: Oversee architectural project aspects from planning to completion, focusing on adherence to design, schedule, and budget.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all project work complies with applicable laws, building codes and safety standards. Implement rigorous quality control processes to maintain high architectural design and construction standards.
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of professional growth and knowledge sharing with the firm.
  • Innovation and Research: Stay updated with industry advancements to lead innovation in design practices, particularly in sustainability.
  • Sustainability Advocacy: Champion sustainable design, integrating green technologies and aiming for environmental certification where applicable.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate across disciplines to ensure comprehensive project outcomes, maintaining strong partnerships with external stakeholders.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Understanding of construction methods, materials and building codes.
  • Proficient in REVIT
  • Exceptional design skills along with fluency in Adobe Suite, Sketchup and Enscape
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to collaborate with others in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent written, oral, and organizational skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Architect
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Willingness to teach and learn
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, and curious
  • Proactive attitude
