Job Full Description
We are currently assisting a local automation company in Sarasota with finding a skilled Machinist II/III to join their team. This full-time role is ideal for someone with machining experience and strong technical skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6am-2:30pm (schedule can change to later or earlier times based on manager approval)
Pay Rate: $27-$29/Hour
Job Duties:

Operate and run manual and/or CNC machines with precision.

Perform manual machine work using lathes and mills.

Utilize cutting tools such as horizontal and vertical band saws.

Work with basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Interpret and comprehend 2D and 3D mechanical drawings.

Assemble mechanical components following company standards.

Maintain clear communication with team members regarding concerns or solutions.

Assist in machine operation to support the debug process when needed.

Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring tools and assemblies are stored properly.

Follow scheduled timelines and maintain a sense of urgency.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Completion of a Machinist trade school program or 1-2 years of manual and CNC machining experience.

3-5 years of CNC programming and operation experience.

Proficiency in Fusion 360 CAM Software (1 year minimum).

Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) is a plus.

Strong knowledge of job-specific tools and testing equipment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Capable of machining complex parts to a high degree of accuracy.

Cross-trained on various CNC machines preferred.
