Paver Operator
Long Term – Full Time
Express Employment in Temple Terrace is currently hiring candidates for the Paver Operator position for a local company in NE Tampa. The position is full-time and has long-term opportunities. We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for operating asphalt pavers to lay a smooth, even asphalt surface for a variety of construction projects, including roadways, parking lots, and more. This position requires experience with paver machines, a strong understanding of paving techniques, and a commitment to quality control, safety, and efficiency.

DETAILED SUMMARY:
- Proper operation and setup of the paver.
- Match paving speed and material delivery to job conditions.
- Perform daily maintenance and lubrication on paver.
- Perform all mechanical repairs possible and communicate with shop on deficiencies.
- Screed width-build up screed extensions to match paving width in all cases.
- Attach and adjust screed extensions and cutoffs.
- Proper preheating of the screed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience in road construction or paving projects preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods.
- Ability to work long hours, especially during peak seasons
