Landscaping Crew Lead
Long Term – Full Time
Express Employment in Temple Terrace is currently hiring candidates for the Landscaping Crew Lead position for a local company in NE Tampa. The position is full-time and has long-term opportunities. This role is critical to the maintenance and quality of golf courses. We are looking for an individual who has team management experience to play a key role in maintaining turf health on our golf course by performing aeration and other essential maintenance activities. This position requires a solid understanding of turf management practices and the ability to operate specialized equipment safely and efficiently.

DETAILED SUMMARY:
- Operate aerification equipment, such as aerators, topdressers, and overseeders, while ensuring proper calibration and settings.
- Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers and groundskeepers in maintaining the golf course.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for crew members, ensuring proper techniques and safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure the turf is properly maintained, including irrigation and aeration to maintain ideal playing conditions.
- Inspect all areas of the golf course regularly to ensure quality standards are met.
- Enforce safety practices and ensure crew members are using equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot aerification and turf care equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years of experience in turf management or golf course maintenance, with a focus on aerification and related tasks preferred.
- Team Management experience required.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods.
- Ability to work long hours, especially during peak seasons.
- Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
