Farm Technician
Long Term – Full Time
Express Employment in Temple Terrace is currently hiring candidates for a Farm Technician position for a local company in NE Tampa. The position is full-time and has long-term opportunities. Perform crop production duties, such as planting, hoeing, pruning, weeding, or harvesting crops. Set up laboratory or field equipment as required for site testing. Prepare laboratory samples for analysis, following proper protocols to ensure that they will be stored, prepared, and disposed of efficiently and effectively.

DETAILED SUMMARY:
- Field/Crop care – seeding, planting, weeding, hoeing, staking, tying, pruning, fertilizing, harvesting, installing/repairing irrigation, watering.
- Greenhouse maintenance such as weeding, cleaning, and helping with repairs.
- Landscape maintenance such as weeding, pruning, and checking irrigation.
- Collecting samples of leaves, fruit, roots, soil, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Lift up to 50lbs for serval hours.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a field technician preferred.
- Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions for extended periods.
