Job Description:
We are a leading South Florida manufacturer specializing in precision machined components for the Power Generation industry. We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup/Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in programming and setup of the following machine tools:

• Mazak Horizontal Machining Centers
• Mazak Vertical Machining Centers
• Mazak Turning Centers
• Toshiba Vertical Turning Centers with Fanuc Controls

This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology while ensuring the production of high-quality components used in the power generation industry.

Responsibilities:

• Programming & Setup: Program and set up the above CNC machine tools, ensuring all setup requirements are met according to blueprints, layouts, and engineering specifications.
• First Article Acceptance: Responsible for the first article approval process, including tool list creation and ensuring all machining operations meet quality standards.
• Production Monitoring: Maintain product quality during production runs, making necessary adjustments to the machines to ensure precise and consistent output.
• Process Updates: Perform updates to manufacturing processes as required, ensuring all procedures are followed as defined in step-by-step documentation.
• Machine Operation: Control machine operations and make necessary adjustments to produce parts that meet process and product specifications.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Plan and set up the correct sequence of machine operations based on engineering blueprints, including geometric tolerance and metric conversion.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records and complete all necessary documentation when job lots are completed.
• Safety: Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of CNC setup and programming experience with Mazak or Toshiba machine tools.
• Software Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Mazatrol and CAM-generated EIA code.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including geometric tolerancing and metric conversion.
• Inspection Skills: Basic inspection skills and familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is a plus.
• Tools: Candidate must have industry-standard hand and measuring tools.
• Computer Literacy: Proficient in computer use; CAD/CAM experience is highly desired.
• Safety: A strong commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Previous experience with power generation components is a plus.
• Experience with Fanuc controls on Toshiba Vertical Turning Centers is highly desirable.
