Express Employment is hiring Garbage Truck Diesel Mechanics!
Location: Fort Pierce, FL
Pay Rate: $18-$30/hr (DOE)
Hours: Full time dayshift *Temp to Hire position

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
Two (2) year’s experience at the journeyman level, as an automotive or diesel mechanic. Must be A.S.E. certified.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of construction, design, repair and adjustment of Garbage Truck diesel and gasoline engines.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment needed for major and minor repairs of diesel and gasoline engines
- Knowledge of both light and heavy-duty electrical
- Knowledge of the principles of operation of diesel fueled and gasoline internal combustion engines
- Ability to diagnose defects and failures of diesel and gasoline engines
- Ability to follow oral and written
Job description is as follows:
1. Preventive maintenance inspections, repairs and overhauls heavy trucks and other types of heavy diesel equipment.
2. In frame overhauls of engines, inspects and repairs air intake systems, coolant systems, mechanical/electrical fuel systems and air systems, steering, suspension, wheels and tires.
3. Rebuilds & repairs hydraulic/air brakes, air conditioning systems (R-12 & R-134A), service and repair of automatic/manual transmissions, drivelines (universal joints & center bearings) and differentials.
