Express Employment is hiring skilled and experienced welders! 

Location: Fort Pierce, FL 

Schedule: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri (No weekends!) 

Compensation based on experience

Education and Experience required: 

High School Diploma or GED required.
*Five years welding experience required (MIG/TIG 3G or 6G)*

  • Must successfully pass a welder qualification test involving a full penetration butt groove weld on 2" Sch. 40 stainless steel pipe in the 6G position using the GTAW process.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Physically capable of performing the tasks required, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and operating tools.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to new situations, challenges, and changes effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also demonstrating respect and professionalism when working collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to manage the stress associated with production standards, deadlines, and a fast-paced work environment.
  • Open to receiving constructive feedback, making adjustments as needed, and willing to rework any tasks that do not meet quality standards.
 

Primary duties are as follows: 

As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality welding using GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes. You'll work on fitting and welding various component parts, equipment, piping systems, and vessels according to fabrication procedures, detailed drawings, written work orders, and verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precision welding following established specifications and procedures.
  • Work with fabrication tools and equipment such as forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, cutting torches, power hand tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret job orders, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Utilize basic math and problem-solving skills for project completion.
  • Identify and report safety concerns or violations to management.
  • Assist with other fabrication tasks as directed by management.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company policies.
  • Share ideas to improve the work environment, quality, and production efficiency with your team and management.
