Employment Type: Full-Time Direct Hire
Express Employment Professional is seeking an experienced and skilled Professional Surveyor & Mapper for a local client. This full-time role offers competitive pay based on experience, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work when necessary. The position is available in our Boca Raton or Port St. Lucie offices. The ideal candidate will be proficient in land surveying and mapping practices, including operating AutoCAD Civil 3D, and possess strong communication skills and a professional work ethic.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Apply general knowledge of land surveying techniques.
- Operate AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Draw boundary surveys, easement sketches, and other types of surveys.
- Interpret and draft utility as-builts.
- Conduct detailed research at the town, county, and state levels.
- Read, plot, and locate land descriptions for easements and parcels.
- Review Title documents and Table A (ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys) items and apply them to surveys.
- Communicate with the Surveyor to ensure job completion meets company standards.
Position Requirements:
- Florida Professional Land Surveyors (PLS) or Professional Surveyors & Mappers (PSM) License (REQUIRED).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying.
- Proficiency with electronic survey equipment.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow precise directions.
- Ability to grow within the company and take direction.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proven work history and a strong work ethic.
- Responsible and on time—attendance and punctuality are critical.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required as necessary.
- Must pass a mandatory drug test.
