Express Employment Professional is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Warranty Manager for one of our local clients. This person will oversee and manage all aspects of the Warranty Department for assigned communities.

 

The Warranty Manager is responsible for ensuring that all warranty service requests are handled promptly and professionally in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

 

The role involves collaborating with homeowners, contractors, and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve warranty issues while maintaining service quality and budget controls.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and develop the Warranty Department staff, setting clear expectations for performance, productivity, and quality.
  • Coordinate all warranty service operations, including tracking and resolving issues, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the completion of service requests.
  • Review and provide corrective actions on weekly service reports submitted by Warranty Technicians.
  • Attend management meetings focused on construction, warranty, and quality control to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
  • Represent the company positively while fostering strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, and trade partners.
  • Manage departmental budget, control expenditures, and ensure cost-effective operations while meeting service delivery goals.
  • Maintain open communication with Senior Management about any recurring issues or performance concerns.
  • Ensure follow-up procedures are in place for warranty service requests and communicate resolution progress to homeowners.
  • Perform inspections and maintenance of model homes after turnover to the Warranty Department.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and corporate policies.
  • Travel between job sites as required to monitor work progress and ensure quality service.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents and warranty-related materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with attention to detail and minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to integrity, customer focus, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Experience in construction-related tasks, including wood trim, drywall installation, painting, cabinetry installation, and appliance hookup.
  • Knowledge of warranty programs and experience working with trade partners to resolve issues.
  • Ability to manage performance and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and current MVR (Motor Vehicle Registration).

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree in Construction Management, Communications, Business, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Five years of relevant experience in the construction industry, including roles such as Customer Service Manager or Construction Manager.
  • One year of work experience may substitute for one year of education up to a maximum of four years.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, climbing, and reaching.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including wet or humid conditions, noisy environments, and around moving mechanical parts.
  • Ability to adjust focus and work with close, distance, and peripheral vision requirements.
