Job Posting: Apartment Maintenance Worker
Location: Port St. Lucie, FL
$19 plus per hour BOE
We are hiring a skilled and reliable Apartment Maintenance Worker on behalf of our client. This role is essential to maintaining the functionality and aesthetic of a newer apartment community in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, clogs, and replacing fixtures.
- Handle basic electrical tasks, such as repairing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
- Conduct painting projects, including touch-ups and full unit painting as needed.
- Diagnose and repair appliances, including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, and washers/dryers.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on HVAC systems to ensure tenant comfort.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, providing excellent customer service to residents.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring they are properly stocked and organized.
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the property, including common areas.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in plumbing, electrical, painting, appliance repair, and HVAC maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents and team members professionally.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks as needed.
- HVAC certification is a plus but not required.
