Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced and energetic Maintenance Technician for an apartment community. This role involves maintaining the physical condition of the community through preventative and corrective maintenance.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40-60 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair plumbing, carpentry, sheetrock, electrical, and painting
- Ensure a clean and well-maintained community for residents
- Respond to service requests within 24 hours
- Be on-call for after-hours emergency service
- Control maintenance expenditures and manage inventory
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and use proper safety equipment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience
- HVAC certification preferred
- Knowledge of electrical (lighting, wiring, 240 volts), plumbing (toilets, faucets, piping), and carpentry
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and blueprints
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license, automobile liability insurance, and dependable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Honest, courteous, and cooperative character traits
