Express seeks a person that is detail-oriented and passionate about providing excellent customer service to fill a Warrant Clerk position. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring customer satisfaction by managing and processing warranty claims with precision and care. Schedule
- Must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shifts
- Monday – Friday
- May have to work some weekends
Job Responsibilities
- Process customer warranty claims by reviewing claim details and verifying coverage based on manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate with customers and service departments to provide updates and information regarding warranty claims.
- Maintain accurate records of warranty work and ensure compliance with company and manufacturer warranty policies.
- Assess customer warranty claims to determine if they fall under the manufacturer's warranty terms.
- Research specific warranty details, including coverage periods, eligible parts, and exclusions to verify claim legitimacy.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding warranty claims, explain coverage details, and update them on claim status.
- Coordinate with service technicians to obtain necessary repair information and ensure proper documentation for warranty claims.
- Prepare and submit warranty claims to the manufacturer, including required documentation and supporting details.
- Keep accurate records of all warranty claims, including customer information, repair details, and claim approvals.
- Monitor for potential fraudulent warranty claims and report them to the appropriate authorities.
- Stay informed about changes in manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass a background and drug screen.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must have strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail for accurately reviewing warranty claims and ensuring all necessary information is captured.
- Ability to clearly explain warranty policies to customers and effectively communicate with service departments.
- Excellent organizational skills for maintaining organized records of warranty claims and related documentation.
- Familiarity with the relevant software for managing warranty claims and customer data.
- Ability to provide prompt and professional assistance to customers regarding warranty inquiries.
