Job Full Description
A company in Tallapoosa has an opening for an experienced Maintenance Apprentice. This candidate will be responsible for assisting in the routine maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, conveyors, pumps, and compressors. This company is looking for a candidate with leadership work history.
Requirements:
- Machine maintenance experience
- Leadership experience
- Experience with diagnosing and fixing broken or malfunctioning machines, including replacing parts.
- Experience with identifying the cause of unexpected breakdowns of machinery
- Coordinate with managers to schedule maintenance and collaborate with product managers on new products
Responsibilities:
- Support the installation, testing, and calibration of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Perform inspections to ensure equipment is operating at optimal efficiency and safety
levels
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner
- Follow preventative maintenance schedules and help track equipment performance
- Work closely with senior maintenance technicians to learn advanced techniques for
machinery and systems upkeep
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations while working on plant equipment
- Support the plant operations team with emergency repairs and urgent maintenance tasks
as needed
Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay: $22+ / Hour (Depending on experience)
