A company in Tallapoosa has an opening for an experienced Forklift Maintenance position. These candidates must be familiar with daily inspections, regular maintenance and oil changes of a forklift in a warehouse environment. The goal is to ensure the forklift is safe and efficient, and to prevent breakdowns. Candidates must be able to work 12 hour shifts if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Check fluid levels, including fuel, water, and hydraulics of forklifts
- Check tire pressure and condition
- Check that safety devices, like seatbelts and finger guards
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform regular maintenance, such as oil changes and filter replacements
Requirements:
- Troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance
- Must have forklift maintenance experience
- Must have sit down forklift experience
- Must have great attention to detail
- Must be available for 12 hour shifts
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
- Steel Toe Boots
