Job Full Description
Position Overview: seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee manufacturing processes, ensure efficiency, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Directly address customer and production-related items, including:
o Planning and managing the production schedule.
o Monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
o Communicating the production schedule to production technicians and workers.
o Managing secondary material inventory (packaging materials, lubricants, chemicals, etc.).
o Maintaining lubricant and chemical compositions.
o Notifying maintenance of any equipment failures.
o Ensuring compliance with ISO requirements.
o Generating customer specifications and sharing them with production technicians.
o Creating work orders for production technicians.
o Tracking and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
o Upholding a safe work environment by adhering to established safety rules and procedures.
o Performing other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Supervise at least 3 non-supervisory production technicians and workers.
· Train employees, plan, assign, and direct work.
· Evaluate performance, address complaints, and resolve issues in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications:
· Education/Experience: B.S./B.A. degree with at least 1 year of related experience.
· Computer Skills: Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, inventory, order processing, manufacturing software, and database software.
· Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and technical procedures. Capable of writing reports and business correspondence, and effectively presenting information.
· Math Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and geometry. Proficient in applying concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
· Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret various forms of instructions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a team-oriented environment.
Work Environment:
· The role involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and potential exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, with a typically loud noise level.
Physical Demands:
· Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and communicate effectively.
· Occasionally required to lift/move up to 30 lbs.
· Must have clear vision for close and distance tasks and the ability to judge distances accurately.

Salary:
· $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
