Job Full Description
Work hours:
2nd shift will be (approximate) 3:00 – 11:30 pm
3rd shift will be (same) 11:00 pm-7:30 am
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 1 – 3 years’ experience
Location: Griffin, GA
Duties & Responsibilities:
|
· Perform routine maintenance (PM's) to repair or replace defective equipment using hand tools, power tools, and reassemble equipment
|
|
· Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals
|
|
· Work with production, QC department, maintenance supervisor on equipment related issues.
|
|
· Performs all duties while observing all OSHA, NFPA, NEC, safety guidelines.
|
|
· Assist operators on Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), safety, and basic equipment maintenance.
|
|
· Maintains a clean work area, and observes 5S in all departments
|
|
· Performs miscellaneous duties, tasks & projects as needed or assigned
|
Job knowledge, skills & abilities:
|
· Basic understanding of Hand tools
|
|
· Basic understanding of mechanical devices
|
|
· Ability to read and understand maintenance and OEM manuals
|
|
· Ability to clearly communicate with others concerning maintenance issues, written or orally.
|
Physical demands:
|
|
· Ability to climb ladders, work at heights
|
|
· Ability to stand, kneel, sit, for extended periods
|
|
· Ability to lift 25 lbs. often, 50 lbs. occasionally
|
Personal Protective Equipment:
· As required by PPE map and tasks assigned
Work environment:
· Occasional exposure to shop elements such as noise, moving parts, heat, dust, and fumes.
Working hours:
· This position requires some flexibility in working hours.
