Job Description:
We are seeking a driven Diesel/Auto Mechanic to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment. Ideal candidates will have experience with using hand tools, precision instruments, power tools, jacks, and hoists to perform repairs and ensure the vehicles and equipment are in optimal working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair work on diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to diagnose issues and carry out repairs.
- Utilize jacks, hoists, and other lifting equipment to work on larger vehicles or machinery.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment for potential issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, brake, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a diesel/auto mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive and diesel engine systems.
- Ability to use a variety of tools, including hand tools, power tools, jacks, hoists, and diagnostic instruments.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in automotive/diesel mechanics is a plus.
