Job Full Description
Job Duties
- Operations: Read and interpret technical drawings; perform machining operations.
- Maintenance: Conduct Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on equipment.
- Collaboration: Assist Engineering with development projects.
- Adjustments: Make offset adjustments as needed.
- Quality Standards: Ensure all work meets acceptable quality standards.
- Machine Settings: Calculate and set machine controls (cutting depth, speed, feed, coolant flow).
- Machine Operation: Operate manual and CNC machines.
Physical Requirements
- Dexterity: Skilled hand-eye coordination for precision machining.
- Strength: Ability to lift and manipulate heavy parts and tools.
- Stamina: Stand for long periods and work in a shop environment.
Knowledge and Skills
- Machining Knowledge: Familiarity with machining processes and equipment.
- Basic Experience: Experience with loading, unloading, and inspecting parts/tooling.
- Machine Types: Knowledge of Horizontal Mills, Vertical Mills (HAAS), VTLs, Lathe (NC), Manual Mills, Surface Grinders, and EDMs.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in measurements and quality checks.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
