Job Full Description
Position Overview
The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work at construction sites or facilities. They lead a team of electricians, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with electrical codes and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership

Manage and direct a team of electricians and apprentices.

Assign tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently.

Provide training and mentorship to team members.

Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Project Management
-
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.

Plan and coordinate electrical installations and repairs.
-
Monitor progress and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Order materials and coordinate deliveries to meet project timelines.
Installation & Maintenance
-
Oversee wiring, conduit installation, lighting, power distribution, and other electrical work.

Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local codes.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise.

Conduct quality control checks and inspections.
Safety & Compliance
-
Enforce safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
-
Conduct site inspections to identify and resolve hazards.
-
Ensure team members use proper protective equipment and follow safety protocols.

Maintain detailed records of work completed and safety compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
-
Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred or required based on location).

5+ years of experience in electrical work, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Technical Skills
-
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and codes (NEC, NFPA, etc.).

Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues.

Experience with various electrical tools and equipment.
Soft Skills

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Work Environment

Work is performed at construction sites, industrial facilities, or commercial buildings.

Requires physical labor, including lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.

Exposure to electrical hazards, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
