Job Summary
A local VALDOSTA, GA company is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various materials while ensuring high-quality standards and safety practices. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency in using hand tools and welding equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and press brake machines to prepare materials for welding.
- Perform quality checks on welds to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and make necessary adjustments during the fabrication process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques, including soldering and fabrication methods.
- Proficient in using hand tools, calipers, and other welding equipment.
- Knowledge of safety practices related to welding operations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Schedule & Pay:
- M-TR, 7A – 3P, Friday 7A - 12P
- $14+/hr BOE
