Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Auto Body Paint Prepper to join our team. In this role, you will prepare vehicles for painting by performing tasks such as sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming surfaces. You’ll ensure the vehicle’s exterior is smooth and free of imperfections, ensuring the highest quality finish when the paint is applied.
Responsibilities:
- Sand, buff, and smooth vehicle surfaces to prepare for painting.
- Mask and cover areas not to be painted (windows, trim, etc.).
- Apply primer and other preparatory materials to surfaces.
- Clean and degrease vehicles before painting to ensure proper adhesion.
- Inspect surfaces for imperfections and make necessary repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in auto body prep or a similar role is a plus.
- Knowledge of sanding, masking, and painting preparation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of safety practices in an automotive shop setting.
