About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mortgage Loan Servicing Representative to provide exceptional customer service regarding mortgage loans for a local Financial Institution.

 

This role involves navigating loan processes and documentation to address customer concerns, ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies, and maintaining loan records post-closing. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of operational duties related to loan servicing, including default support, ARM servicing, tax and insurance processing, research, payoffs, and payment servicing. Communication in this role involves engaging with customers, internal teams, and external vendors on sensitive or confidential matters, often requiring motivation, influence, education, and advisement.

 

This is a corporate position located in Coeur d'Alene, ID. The mid-rate for this position is $21.95+ per hour, based on location, experience, and educational background.

This is a full time Mon-Fri 8am-5pm position.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Address customer inquiries regarding loan terms, balances, escrow status, and payment breakdowns. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in the loan processing system.

  • Payoff & Release Administration: Manage loan payoffs, prepare payoff statements, verify and process funds, and complete satisfaction and partial property release requests.

  • Loan File Maintenance: Monitor reports, investigate and resolve cases, and process adjustments such as AFTs/ACHs, interest rate changes, modifications, and escrow accounts.

  • Cross-Training: Support team members during high-volume periods or absences in areas such as escrow administration, Freddie Mac servicing, loss mitigation, credit reporting, and loan audits.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and other institutional policies.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience

  • Required:

    • 3 years in a customer service role.

    • 1 year of experience in the banking industry.

    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, and web browsers.

  • Preferred:

    • Experience in loan servicing or financial services.

    • Familiarity with loan platform software such as Jack Henry, Black Knight, or Fiserv.

  • Ability to pass a background and credit check.

Additional Requirements

Travel

  • Occasional travel required (less than 10 days per year).
