Location: Culdesac, ID 

Pay: $17-18/hr

Job Type: Evaluation Hire

Do you have experience in municipal administration and bookkeeping? We are looking for a Municipal Clerk with strong bookkeeping skills to join our team and support the efficient operation of our local government.

As a Municipal Clerk, you will play an essential role in managing public records, municipal meetings, and elections, while also handling financial duties such as managing budgets, processing payments, and overseeing the accounting of public funds.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update municipal records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, and resolutions.
- Assist in preparing agendas and supporting materials for city council meetings.
- Administer and oversee municipal elections and public records requests.
- Perform bookkeeping duties: managing budgets, processing payments, and reconciling accounts.
- Ensure proper record-keeping for financial transactions, including filing reports for audits and financial reviews.
- Oversee business licenses, permits, and ensure compliance with local ordinances.
- Serve as the liaison between elected officials and the public, providing accurate information as needed.

Key Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Municipal Clerk, City Clerk, or in a similar administrative role (preferred).
- Strong bookkeeping experience with knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial record-keeping.
- Familiarity with municipal laws, regulations, and election processes.
- Proficiency in office software, record management systems, and accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
