Manufacturing Dispatcher

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Dispatcher to plan, schedule, and assign work to operators in assigned departments. The ideal candidate will ensure the availability of tools, maintain workflow, and support the timely completion of manufacturing schedules. This position requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret operation cards and dispatch systems to prioritize tasks.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work Scheduling: Plan and assign tasks to operators in designated departments to ensure efficient workflow.
- Tool and Equipment Management: Arrange for the availability of necessary tools and equipment, prioritizing jobs accurately.
- Data Management: Enter and maintain data on work-in-progress (WIP) related to machine code changes.
- Collaboration: Work with supervisors to address workload imbalances and resolve issues with problem jobs or machines.
Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of shop arithmetic, and ability to read drawings, specifications, and layouts.
- Familiarity with manufacturing procedures and machine shop practices.
- Knowledge of production control and ERP systems.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and move average-weight materials and tools.
- Continuous mental and visual attention, requiring constant alertness and activity.
- Experience with dispatch systems and machine code changes is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
