Job Full Description
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to assist the maintenance supervisor and perform necessary activities to keep the equipment and facilities in proper order. Maintenance delivery and work quality Equipment reliability Operational risk reduction Skill and ability to operate all machine shop equipment to fabricate and repair items. Monitor and assist in coordination of maintenance department resources. Oversee and assist in relocation/installation of production equipment and necessary utilities. Maintenance Technician Monitor machine operations to assure machines function in a safe and efficient manner, notifying supervisor of equipment malfunctions. Maintain replacement parts and materials inventory. Maintain housekeeping at and around department. Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant. Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area. Follow all quality systems and operating procedures as applies to certifications, duties, and training matrix. Follow all rules and regulations, including safety rules. Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management. Analyze resulting data from preventative maintenance and determine/suggest frequency to prevent equipment downtime. Perform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment as outlined in the preventative maintenance procedure. Measure and verify fabricated, worn or repaired parts using various measurement
equipment.
Using various instruments as necessary, observe operation of equipment to locate source of
problems and affect repairs.
Read and interpret equipment diagrams, sketches, schematics, blueprints, specifications,
operating manuals and written instructions.
Skill and ability to operate man lifts and cranes.
