Job Description Summary:
The Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance support for equipment, machinery, tools, furniture, modular office setups, and facilities equipment. This includes diagnosing and repairing functionality issues, performing preventive maintenance, managing maintenance work requests, and supporting special projects. The role focuses on ensuring operational excellence, optimizing resources, and delivering customer satisfaction while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Corrective Maintenance Activities
- Diagnose and repair functionality issues reported by customers to maintain optimal working conditions.
- Provide feedback to the supervisor on unresolved issues or problems detected during corrective maintenance.
- Support Maintenance Technician 1 with corrective activities as needed.
Preventive Maintenance Activities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks as assigned, targeting equipment at medium technology and impact levels.
- Report issues or potential improvements identified during preventive maintenance to optimize service levels.
- Diagnose and repair systems up to 480-volt three-phase power.
- Recommend updates or changes to the Preventive Maintenance Program.
Maintenance Work Requests
- Execute work requests from customers, ensuring clarity by collaborating with requesters to gather necessary details.
- Track materials, spare parts, and chemicals needed for each task to guarantee timely completion.
- Deliver maintenance services efficiently and with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Special Projects
- Assist in projects such as equipment installations, layout modifications, refurbishments, and improvement initiatives.
- Fabricate parts, modify equipment, and support design projects as requested by clients.
- Utilize the A3 methodology to analyze root causes and lead Kaizen events for problem-solving.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications: Technical certificate/degree or Panduit’s development educational program certificate.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical Skills
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing systems up to 480-volt three-phase power.
- Skilled in using electrical test instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
- Familiar with lift trucks, hand pallets, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
- Ability to use inventory systems for parts identification and tracking.

- Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Effective written and verbal communication for reporting project status and technical details.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality in all tasks.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
