Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Multi Craft Maintenance Technician with experience in PLC systems to join our team. In this critical role, you will oversee all aspects of electrical, automation, and mechanical maintenance while ensuring the optimal performance of highly automated machinery. This is a hands-on, multi-craft position that offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the upkeep of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PLC Expertise: Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance PLC-controlled systems to ensure continuous operation of machinery.
  • Multicraft Maintenance: Perform electrical, automation, and mechanical maintenance across a wide range of equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve automation, electrical, and mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime.
  • System Modifications: Participate in the installation, upgrades, and modifications of equipment, including PLC software monitoring and programming.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Contribute to preventive and reliability-centered maintenance programs to ensure the highest level of equipment efficiency and minimize unplanned outages.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including PLC programs, parts used, and condition monitoring, as well as follow-up requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and operations teams to schedule and coordinate maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment alignment and optimal machine performance.
  • Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to OHS standards.

Skills and Experience required of qualified candidates:

  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or a related discipline, along with 5-10 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
  • Skilled in PLC systems, with ability to program, troubleshoot, and document PLC code and operations.
  • You have a deep understanding of electrical and automation systems, along with a working knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices for advanced equipment.
  • You are experienced in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics and are proficient in diagnosing and repairing issues in complex systems.
  • You excel in problem-solving and thrive in an environment that requires quick thinking and adaptability.
  • You have a solid understanding of the National Electric Code and OSHA regulations, ensuring compliance in all maintenance activities.
  • You bring excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to your work, effectively partnering with various teams across the organization.
  • Background in mechanical maintenance such as welding, machining, pneumatics, or hydraulics.
