Mechanical Assembler
Location: Belvidere, IL
Shift Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM. Occasional overtime available on Saturdays.
Pay Rate: $17-$19.00 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable Mechanical Assembler to join our team! A successful candidate will be responsible for assembling stainless steel doors, ensuring all components are meticulously inspected and consistently meet high standards of quality. This role involves significant heavy lifting and detailed inspection tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Spot Welder or Assembler with heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Quality inspection to ensure consistency with established standards.
- Learn to mix and spread adhesives, primer, or other chemicals.
- Inspect and check size dimensions to ensure quality production.
- Complete riveting or fasting procedures.
- Deburr edges of doors.
- Add in ribbons/use ribbon machine to finish door.
- Make stainless steel doors and frameworks for trains.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
- Strong attention to details
- Mechanically inclined
- Forklift Operation (willing to train)
- Ability to read various measuring tools
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Primer/Adhesive Handling/Mixing/Spreading
- Welding/Spot Welding a plus
- Industrial/Manufacturing background
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have proof of vaccination.
