Job Full Description
Job Summary: We are looking for a Project Manager Engineer to join a growing team. Primary role includes organizing and leading a project to obtain the highest quality result possible with shortest lead time completion and lowest budgetary costing. Projects can range in size from factory setups to new equipment installations. Responsibilities include:
· Obtain a detailed understanding of each piece of the project including costs, options, lead times, and any auxiliary information required to complete the project
· Create/maintain a timeline for each project detailing all the parts and steps
· Collaborate with plant managers on timelines
· Create/Maintain a budget report on all individual costs of the project and send updated reports to management on a weekly basis. Perform audit at end of each project
· Get budget approval before starting projects and inform management of any necessary changes as they develop. Any increase in the budget requires approval by management
· Obtain multiple options for each part of the project to assure best price/quality/lead time
· Meet with Contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal members to ensure excellent solutions
· Conduct daily site visits/check ins per project to ensure project is flowing
· Assure that all parties are operating in a safe way and ensure a safe working environment
· Obtain permits when necessary, including compliance to all state and federal regulations
· Mentor plant leadership

Qualifications
· BS in Engineering (master’s degree preferred)
· 5 years Lean experience in a complex manufacturing environment
· Six Sigma certification preferred or Kaizen experience
· Food manufacturing experience preferred
· Maintenance/manufacturing / engineering/ QA/QC experience preferred
· Proactive and assertive intention to complete projects with efficiency, speed, precision & quality
· Industrial design and project management experience
· High attention to detail, ability to create clear reports
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications & Project Management applications
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Understanding of PLC systems
