Job Full Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring that shipments are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The Shipping Clerk will prepare essential shipping documents, schedule freight pickups, and coordinate with freight carriers to meet promised ship dates.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and packing lists, as required.

Schedule freight pickups to meet promised ship dates.

Request two freight quotes via email from established freight carriers as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Operate a forklift to move products and materials in the warehouse.

Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed according to established operating procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role.

Knowledge of shipping documentation (e.g., BOLs, packing lists).

Experience in scheduling freight pickups and requesting freight quotes.

Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with freight carriers and logistics systems.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of shipping software is a plus.
