Job Full Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator with at least six months of proven CNC operator experience to join our team. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts. Your expertise in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery will be crucial in ensuring efficient production and meeting our quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
• Set up and prepare CNC machines for operation by analyzing job orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Load raw materials into the machine and position them correctly for processing.
• Program CNC machines by entering the correct commands, tooling, and cutting parameters.
• Verify the accuracy of the program by running test operations and making adjustments as necessary.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and detect any potential issues or malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to keep them in optimal condition.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor problems or faults that may occur during the production process.
• Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers and quality control personnel, to optimize production processes and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, materials used, and production times.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months of experience as a CNC Operator.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
• Familiarity with G-code and other CNC machine languages.
• Ability to set up, calibrate, and operate various CNC machines, such as milling machines or lathes.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, for quality control.
• Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
