Our client, a company in Elgin, IL, is searching for a Warehouse Lead to join their team! In this role, you will coordinate and oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Warehouse Lead Salary & Benefits:
- Salary $60,000 – 70,000 / annual

Warehouse Lead Responsibilities:
- Supervise warehouse staff and warehouse process execution, including assigning tasks, training new employees, and providing guidance and support.
- Oversee the receiving process, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of incoming shipments.
- Coordinate the storage of merchandise, optimizing space utilization and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Lead the picking and packing process, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments. International shipping experience is a must.
- Act as a critical thinker (not limited to what currently exists) and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Warehouse Lead Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- MUST have international shipment experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues related to warehouse procedures, coach team to correct, and continuously look for improvement opportunities.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
