Job Responsibilities
• Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, cook, and plate food items following established recipes and restaurant standards. Ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
• Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure the kitchen meets food safety standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff (chefs, cooks, dishwashers) to ensure smooth kitchen operations, especially during peak hours.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth coordination during service.
Job Qualifications
• Experience: Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred.
• Work Ethic & Punctuality: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability are essential for maintaining team morale and kitchen efficiency.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed by the restaurant.
• Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety practices, including safe food handling, storage, and sanitation. Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe and Basset) is a plus but not required.
