Job Full Description
Summary: Express is looking for a skilled Batch Operator/Blender/Compounder for a chemical company in SW Chicago.
Pay: $18-20/hour, DOE
Hours:
1st shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 3:30pm
2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 2:00am
Duties:
- Verify and assure accurate counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product.
- Addition of raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula.
- Discharging blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size.
- Sampling of blended product.
- Filling out of daily schedule control to document production, quality, and performance.
- Cleaning and sanitizing of the blender, sifter, and all support equipment.
- Sanitation of work station and surrounding areas.
- Disposal of trash and garbage dumpsters.
- Adherence to all department procedures and GMP''s.
- Ability to maintain all performance standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred;
- three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate with individuals and small groups. Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret graphs.
