Job Full Description
A large metal manufacturing company with 80+ manufacturing facilities across 6 continents and over 9,000 employees worldwide is seeking a Maintenance Technician to joint heir team. Role will perform troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems. Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment. Assist with the servicing and repairing of more complex equipment. Complies with applicable regulations and the department’s Safety program.
SHIFT: Monday-Thursday, 11pm-11am, overtime some Fridays
Essential Functions
- Solving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production.
- Reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance work.
- Conducts preventive maintenance schedule.
- Dealing with incoming work requests.
- Communicating existing and potential issues with your group leaders and/or maintenance manager.
- Abiding by different safety measures and policies.
Qualifications
Education
Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanic.
Experience
- Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and hydraulic / pneumatic schematics.
- Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
- Ability to read, use and understand gauges, tools and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
- Must have a good working knowledge of mechanics and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
- Must have a good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.
- Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience is preferred but not necessary.
- Lathe operation experience is preferred but not necessary.
- Must have organization and housekeeping skills.
- Must have good communication skills throughout all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, overtime and weekends as required.
