Express Employment has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Streator, IL. We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers to join our team.
This role involves hands-on assembly work, using various tools to construct and install mechanical components. You will work primarily on assembling truck bodies and other mechanical systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly and Installation: Use tools such as drills, grinders, skill saws, impact wrenches, and shear and brake presses to assemble mechanical components.
- Precision Work: Accurately measure and cut materials using a tape measure to ensure precise assembly.
- Physical Activity: Crawl under truck bodies and work in various positions to complete assembly tasks.
- Documentation: Complete all required paperwork in a timely and efficient manner to maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical assembly or a similar hands-on role.
- Familiarity with Tools: Proficiency in using drills, grinders, skill saws, impact tools, shear and brake presses.
- Measurement Skills: Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable working in confined spaces, including crawling under truck bodies.
