Express Employment is partnered with a local automotive shop who is searching for a Tow Truck Driver with a Class CDL C to join their team in Morris, IL!
- PAY: $18.00 - $20.00/hr
- HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely Operate Tow Trucks: Use a flatbed or wheel-lift tow truck to transport vehicles as needed.
- Vehicle Recovery: Respond to customer calls for towing, jump-starts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel delivery.
- Load and Unload Vehicles: Secure vehicles properly on the tow truck and safely transport them to the desired location.
- Perform Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct routine checks on the tow truck, ensuring it's in good working condition (tires, lights, brakes, etc.).
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of tows and services provided.
- Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety and traffic regulations to ensure the safety of the driver, vehicle, and surrounding traffic.
- Valid Class C CDL License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of tow truck driving experience preferred.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic laws.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and roadside assistance tasks (jump-starts, tire changes, etc.).Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
Requirements:
