Band Saw Operator - 2nd Shift
Our client has been in business for over 40 years in the Rockford area and they are looking to grow their team! They are looking for a band saw operator on their second shift. Ideal candidates have experience with band saws and reading tape measures, as well as staying focused on the job. Pay starts at $13.50 for this position. First two weeks of training would be 7am-3pm, after that is completed the shift would be a standard 3pm-1am. Job Responsibilities:
- Operate bandsaw
- Set up equipment
- Process work orders
- Occasionally operate forklift
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Efficiently utilize resources to minimize scrap
Job Requirements:
- Lift 50 lbs, up to 70 lbs
- Read tape measures
- Safely operate equipment
- Manufacturing experience
- HS Diploma or GED preferred
- Must possess steel toe boots
- Detail oriented and work well with others
*Position dependent on successful completion of a drug screen
