1st Shift MIG Welder
Our client in Rockford is looking for a MIG Welder to join their team on 1st Shift. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating metal components to meet production and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG Welding, reading blueprints and working with various metal materials. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on metal components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, and cutting tools to fabricate and repair parts.
- Inspect and measure materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Previous MIG welding experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Experience working with steel, aluminum, and other metals preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and welding best practices.
- Welding certification is a plus but not required.
