Job Title: Part-Time Customer Service Specialist

Location: Nashville, IN
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Evaluation-to-hire, with the potential for permanent employment after the evaluation period.

Position Overview:
Join a dynamic publication office in Nashville, IN, as a Part-Time Customer Service Specialist. This role will involve providing excellent customer service while managing key responsibilities related to subscriptions, advertising, and editorial coordination. As the first point of contact for both walk-in customers and phone inquiries, you'll play an integral part in the day-to-day operations of the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers and incoming phone calls, offering a friendly, professional, and helpful demeanor.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, and in-person with professionalism and clear communication.
  • Maintain subscription lists, assisting customers with inquiries, renewals, and updates.
  • Use Microsoft Outlook for internal and external communication, ensuring that emails and information are directed to the correct personnel.
  • Manage a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, email communication, and document filing.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable using basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, and printers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software (training provided).
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A customer-first mindset, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, especially in retail, hospitality, or any position involving direct customer interaction.
  • Previous experience in office administration or coordination, particularly in a publishing or media environment, is a plus.
