Job Full Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various automotive systems. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. The Automotive Technician will work closely with customers to provide exceptional service and support.

Duties

  • Diagnose Vehicle Issues: Utilize diagnostic tools and manual inspections to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.
  • Perform Repairs: Carry out repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and longevity.
  • Customer Communication: Explain complex vehicle issues and necessary repairs to customers in a clear and professional manner, providing estimated repair times and costs.
  • Documentation: Complete accurate service records, documenting repairs, parts used, and labor time to maintain an organized and thorough history for each vehicle.
  • Stay Updated on Technology: Continuously learn and apply new techniques, equipment, and technologies to improve diagnostic and repair efficiency.
  • Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all company safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Automotive Technician, with a focus on transmission repair preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
  • Electrical experience (diagnosis, wiring, troubleshooting)
  • Knowledge of transmission R&R processes
  • General automotive repair experience (brakes, suspension, engine, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • ASE certification (preferred but not required)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
