Job Full Description
Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join a dynamic team for a company who specializes in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and construction equipment.
Pay Rate: $25-35/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines on construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy machinery
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Perform engine overhauls, brake repairs, and component replacements.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic working with construction equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and repair tools.
- Must have own tools (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
