Job Title: Chrome Plating Operator
Location: Sheridan, IN
Schedule: Monday to Friday
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 6:00 AM
Pay Rate:
- 2nd Shift: $17.00
- 3rd Shift: $17.50
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Chrome Plating Operator to join our client’s team in Sheridan, IN.
Responsibilities:
- Run a plating line
- Operate plating/coating machines to coat metal or plastic products with chromium, zinc, copper, cadmium, nickel, or other metals to protect or decorate surfaces
- Immerse workpieces in coating solutions or liquid metal or plastic for specified times
- Adjust dials to regulate the flow of current and voltage supplied to terminals to control plating processes
- Inspect coated or plated areas for defects, such as air bubbles or uneven coverage
- Set up, operate, or tend plating or coating machines to coat
- Load racks with parts to plate and unload racks of parts that have been plated
- Operate crane/hoist to place racks in and out of tanks
- Measure parts for plating thickness and record production
Qualifications:
- Dependability
- Ability to lift, bend, and squat
- Experience in chrome plating or similar field preferred
