We are doing some exciting things with a Wholesale Distributor of Fastening Materials in Noblesville, IN seeking a Territory Sales Manager for the Midwest. Our client is a leading provider of zip ties, mounting products, and wire connectors. They are adding to their team as they grow.
As the Territory Sales Manager, you will develop existing customers and new customers and own the sales process from quote to close. You will be responsible for forming strategic relationships with key customers, leveraging company strengths to obtain preferred supplier status, quoting inbound inquiries, obtaining competitive information, and positioning the brand for long-term growth.
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: This is a direct hire placement. Base Pay is $65,000 - $75,000 per year with bonus and commission. Earning potential of $100K+, depending on your sales efforts and success. Good benefits.
You can be based in Indianapolis or northern Indiana; remote hybrid with occasional travel to headquarters in Noblesville.
Your responsibilities as a Territory Sales Manager:
- Manage an account portfolio of ~200 accounts while maintaining a cadence of communication to close sales opportunities through telephone, email, in-person or virtual meetings
- Work with accounts in the Midwest; 25% travel
- Read and understand basic product prints, research competitive products, and recommend equivalent products
- Utilize the ERP system to generate quotes, place orders, perform stock checks, and work within customer portals for quote entry
- Develop and implement account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for key customers to maximize sales
- Secure business meetings with national and regional account decision-makers in partnership with Sr. Leadership
- Track the sales process from quote to close both short and long term
- Collaborate with internal teams on national accounts
Qualifications for the Territory Sales Manager:
- 3+ years sales experience in wholesale or industrial distribution with a strong preference for industrial fasteners, MRO, VMI supply chain is preferred
- Possess an associate or bachelor’s degree in, Marketing, Sales, or Business-related field study OR possess 3+ years’ work experience in sales development, inside sales, or outside sales.
- Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PPT, Word
- Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrate business math aptitude (gross margin, landed costs calculations)
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
