We are currently hiring a Metal Roll Form Machine Operator for our partner's team in Carmel, IN. In this job you will set up and operate roll forming machines to produce metal components. If you have previous work experience with operating Roll Form or Metal Fabrication machines, we want to talk to you.
Minimally, you will need experience operating a machine in a manufacturing facility. Our client will train you to run a metal form machine if you have 1+ years of machine operating experience, mechanical aptitude, and are punctual with great attendance at previous employers.
Pay starts at $18.00 per hour and will be more depending on your machining experience. If you have Metal Roll Form Machine Operator experience, our client will pay you more than your current job. If you will need training, the job will be temporary=to-hire. If you have metal roll form machine operator experience, the job will be direct hire.
What will you be doing as a Metal Roll Form Machine Operator?
- Set-up and operate roll forming machines to produce metal components according to specifications.
- Adjust machine settings, including roll speeds, feeding mechanisms, and cutting tools, to achieve desired product dimensions and quality.
- Load coils of metal into the roll forming machines and ensure proper alignment and feeding.
- Monitor the production process, inspecting formed components for accuracy and quality.
- Make necessary adjustments to the machine settings or tooling to correct any defects or deviations.
- Perform routine maintenance on roll forming equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtown.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that may arise during the production process.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production efficiency and meet production targets.
- Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, production quantities, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
What qualifications will you have as a Metal Form Machine Operator?
- At least 1 year machine operating experience with a manufacturing company.
- Prior Metal Form Machine Operator experience or Metal Fabrication experience will be given top consideration.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Great attendance and punctuality.
- A "can-do" attitude.
